Vermicomposting: Composting with Worms
February 12 | 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.Council Bluffs Public Library
UNfortunately, this event has already occurred.
Join us for an introduction to the basics of vermicomposting. Vermicomposting is an excellent way to divert landfill waste and compost your biodegradable kitchen scraps. This decomposition process, utilizing a species of worms called red wigglers, is easy to do, produces great compost for your garden, and can be done inside year-round (it won’t stink!). You’ll take away a better understanding of how to accomplish this at home and some worms of your own! This is an in-person program. Space is limited. Contact the Reference Desk at 712-323-7553, ext. 2 to sign up to join us in Meeting Room B.
** Face masks and social distancing are required for in-person events and programs.
