Trail Work Volunteer Signup | Afternoon Shift | National Trails Day
June 7 | 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.Hitchcock Nature Center
Grab a shovel and help reroute a trail with the Loess Hills Nordic Ski Patrol on National Trails Day!
This volunteer event is perfect for hardworking helpers who aren't afraid to get a little dirty while putting the finishing touches on a rerouted trail segment and assisting with trail repair on National Trails Day. Due to the steep topography in the Loess Hills, a portion of Moonseed Trail has suffered significant erosion and trail damage from heavy rains. We need YOUR help to reroute a large portion of this trail and make it more sustainable.
Afternoon shift is from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Ages 12+.
Pre-registration is required. Please click the website or ticket icon above to sign up today.
Please meet at the Heartwood Pavilion at Hitchcock Nature Center. Training, a safety briefing, and lunch (at the beginning of the shift) will be provided.
