January 19 | 6:00 p.m.Council Bluffs Public Library
UNfortunately, this event has already occurred.
Documentary followed by Q&A with the Director Peter Ertel, a German amateur violinist, becomes a reluctant soldier in Hitler’s army. He then defies overwhelming odds to not only survive WWII, but to become a U.S. Government agent. After immigrating to America in 1953, he worked nearly three decades for a small industrial chemical firm owned by Jewish people. Peter Ertel, 95 at the time of filming, tells his own incredible and inspiring life story. Join us in Room B. Thank you to the Council Bluffs Public Library Foundation for supporting this program.
