Friday, September 27, is set to be an evening of great country and gospel music performed by Nashville Singer/Songwriter Terry Smith!
His most well-known composition is “Far Side Banks of Jordan,” first released by Johnny and June Carter Cash and later by over 300 other performers, including Jimmy Fortune. Over the years, his songs have been recorded by a wide array of artists, including Roy Acuff, the Oak Ridge Boys, the Statler Brothers, Jimmy Fortune, Chris LeDoux, Alison Krauss & the Cox Family, Kris Kristofferson/Patty Loveless, George Hamilton IV, Kitty Wells, and Doug Seegers/EmmyLou Harris.
Terry Smith fills his shows with a heavy dose of his original country and gospel songs mixed with many standard favorites. His humor, stories about songs and songwriters, and the various types of songs he sings touch a wide range of audience emotions.
