Join us at Hitchcock Nature Center as we celebrate the life & legacy of famous naturalist & philosopher Aldo Leopold during "A Land Ethic Workshop". Join instructor Ron Cisar as we celebrate the life & legacy of famous naturalist & philosopher Aldo Leopold. Our July 11th session will focus on Leopold's essay "Prairie Birthday" & will feature guest speaker Chad Graeve, Natural Resource Specialist with Pottawattamie Conservation. Topics to be covered include prairie & woodland plant identification, how to use a dichotomous key, the quadratic study of area biodiversity, and more.
This program is intended for participants age 14 & over. Online pre-registration is required as space is limited. For questions not answered online please call 712-545-3283. The cost for this program is $10.00 per session or $75.00 for the full season.
