Follow in the footsteps of the Dump Busters, who saved Hitchcock from becoming a dump, by joining our annual park cleanup at Hitchcock Nature Center.
When: Saturday, April 26th | Show up anytime between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Hitchcock Nature Center and Crescent Hill at Hitchcock (previously Mt. Crescent) | Please check in at either lodge
What: Help pick up litter along trails, then head back to the lodge to weigh, record, and sort your findings. We keep track of how much litter is weighed to better understand the impact of visitors on the park.
What to Wear & Bring: Protective gloves, trash bag (bags will also be made available at check-in), dress in layers, wear good hiking shoes, bring water and sun protection
Refreshments will be provided for volunteers as a thank you for their efforts.
