Linkages Study Public Workshop
October 2 | 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.Council Bluffs Public Library Room B
UNfortunately, this event has already occurred.
The City of Council Bluffs is seeking public input for the Linkages Study, which aims to identify potential new multimodal and transit connections between downtown Council Bluffs and downtown Omaha, including a possible recommendation for a new Missouri River crossing.
A public workshop will be held at the Council Bluffs Public Library, where attendees are invited to participate in a working session from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a presentation of the workshop’s results from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Linkages Study will recommend projects to enhance transportation between downtown Council Bluffs and downtown Omaha. It will evaluate factors such as locations, costs, phases, funding sources, and environmental impacts to identify optimal solutions. This study follows the federal Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) process.
An online survey will be available soon, too. The public comment period will end October 25, 2024.
