The Omaha Corgi Crew and the Omaha Sports Commission are happy to bring the third annual racing event to River’s Edge Park this spring! This year’s racing event will also feature 20+ local vendors, food trucks, rescues and as many as 100 racing corgis. This event is free to attend and proceeds from the event benefit local rescues through the Omaha Corgi Crew’s annual fundraising effort. The event will be open to the public at 10am and the races are set to begin at 11am. More information can be found at omahacorgiracing.com. Though small, corgis are quite fast, as they are herding dogs with a sharp intelligence and compact muscles. Watching a corgi race is a great way to get to know the breed, have fun with friends, and enjoy a day at the races!
