AIM’s annual Heartland Developers Conference has been providing world-class content to the Silicon Prairie developer community for over 15 years.
The 2025 event will be hosted Sept. 30- Oct 1, and promises to provide attendees with an immersive experience. Individuals will experience keynote speakers, breakout sessions, an exhibitor hall, and numerous networking opportunities.

The Historic Preservation Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on land use; gifts and donations of real and personal property, the preservation, restoration, maintenance and operation of historic properties; identification and designation of historic districts and sites; and makes recommendations to the Zoning Board of Adjustment on conditional uses involving historic sites. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 4 P.M. at City Hall in the Council Chambers.

This 2 mile walk, which is organized by the Alzheimer's Association aims to raise money to support efforts in providing care and support for those affected by Alzheimer's, as well as funding research into potential treatments and a cure.
The walk will feature local resources for caregivers and will include The Promise Garden ceremony which is a moving tribute that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease.

This year's annual All Hallows Eve Festival at Botna Bend promises fun for the entire family including hayrack rides, cookie decorating, hot dogs, and trick or treating! The public is invited to participate in fun fall activities hosted by Botna Bend Park staff and campers.
A $3 per vehicle entry fee or Pottawattamie Conservation membership is required to enter the park if you are not camping. Free will donations will be gratefully accepted and used to fund additional free and low-cost public programming at your county parks.

Maisy & Marley’s Purpose is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to closing the financial gap families face when caring for children with critical and complex medical needs. Over the years, we've helped numerous families with mortgage payments, therapies, medical equipment, and other financial obligations as they focused on caring for their child during hospital stays, illness, or job loss.
Our big focus for 2025-2026 is funding an all-inclusive playground facility in Council Bluffs, IA. We're developing a playground that will serve our ENTIRE community—a one-of-a-kind destination that elevates play for everyone and brings families together in joy.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment hears requests for conditional use permits and requests for variances from the Zoning Ordinance. The board also conducts hearings on appeals of administrative interpretations pertaining to the Zoning Ordinance. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month in the Council Chamber on the second floor of City Hall at 4 P.M.

An audience favorite returns to the Arts Center this year. The Petersens are an award-winning Americana/Roots family band known for taking the music of the Ozarks to the world and bringing the world to come visit them in the Ozarks. They have toured throughout Ireland, Finland, Canada, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States, entertaining audiences with their tight harmonies, instrumental virtuosity, and warm sibling humor. The Petersens went viral online in 2019 when their YouTube videos gained international attention and have now reached nearly 250 million views. The band consists of four siblings - Katie, Ellen, Matt, and Julianne – their mom Karen, and honorary Petersen and dear friend Emmett Franz. The Petersens perform full-time in Branson, Missouri at the Little Opry Theater in Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex.

"Story Weaver" is for people who want to tell and/or listen to stories told in and about the natural world. It is also for musicians, poets, and thinkers. Participants are welcome to tell or read stories, share a poem, or perform a song related to the natural world. Attendance is welcome whether you wish to partake or just listen.
Stories or songs may be true, fictional, or mythic. They may be inspired by history, fairytale/legend/folklore, personal experience, observation, or even family. They may be sad, dramatic, funny, wise, or exciting. We ask that your contribution is in some way related to nature, the wild, or ecology, such as plants, animals, rivers, stones, etc.
