UNleashCB Fall Photo Contest

To celebrate the fall season with you, we are bringing the UNleashCB Fall Photo Contest back! Enter up to five of your original photographs taken in Council Bluffs or Pottawattamie County that fit in the categories below for a chance to win up to $250 in cash! 

Submissions will be accepted from Monday, September 27, 2021, thru Sunday, November 7, 2021.

The winners will be announced on our website and social media on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. 

Photo Categories:

• Unbelievable Fall Foliage: landscape photography
• Unforgettable Fall Memories: photos of people enjoying the fall season
• Unexpected - Celebrating the diversity of people who enjoy Pottawattamie County: photos that show and celebrate diversity

Prizes:

• $250 cash awarded to the overall winning photo
• $100 cash awarded to the best Unbelievable Fall Foliage photo
• $100 cash awarded to the best Unforgettable Fall Memories photo
• $100 cash awarded to the best Diversity photo 

How to Enter:

Upload Your Images

• Submit your five fall photos by uploading them using this link. 
• Your first and last name and email address is required for entry

Via Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter)

• Post your five fall photos on your social media profile 
• Use the hashtag #unleashcbfall21 in your post
• If you have a private social media account, please upload your images using the entry form to submit.

Rules and Guidelines:

All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants in Pottawattamie County. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

All communication in regards to the photo contest will be done through the official UNleashCB Facebook and Instagram pages, or through email coming directly from Emma Schwaller at [email protected].

• You must be over the age of 13 to participate in the UNleashCB Fall Photo Contest. 
• The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame. Simple editing and watermarks are ok. 
• Violators will be removed from the contest.
• Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel. Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.
• Entries will be judged by a panel organized by the CBCVB. Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity and effectiveness in capturing the photo categories listed above. All decisions are final. The panel reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
• By entering the Contest, entrants acknowledge that all people in the photo have consented to being photographed and have given permission to the photographer to have the photo submitted to the UNleashCB Fall Photo Contest. 
• By entering the Contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by the Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau for advertising purposes without compensation. Photographers will be credited where possible. The winner may be contacted and asked to provide a high-resolution, watermark-free, full-sized file to the Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau.
• Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
• The prize must be collected by the winner and is non-transferable.
• The winner will be contacted via the social media account or email address provided during entry. If no response is received after five business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
• The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
• By participating in the contest, you agree to release and hold harmless the Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau and its employees, volunteers, affiliates, and agents, from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this contest, including infringement of intellectual property rights. The Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau and its employees, volunteers, affiliates, and agents assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this contest.
