Have you seen the Travel Channel’s Most Terrifying Places in America? Well, if you haven’t already seen the latest episode, it starred our very own Squirrel Cage Jail!
The episode—named Restless Dead—will air two more times this month on Sunday, October 28 at 2 p.m. and Monday, October 29 at 1 p.m. You can also view the episode from Travel Channel’s website with your TV provider account. In addition to the Squirrel Cage Jail, the episode covered several other “terrifying” locations outside of Council Bluffs.
According to The Daily Nonpareil, the episode featured multiple Council Bluffs locals such as Squirrel Cage Jail manager, Kat Slaughter. Acting parts were also given to local talent.
While many will only be able to experience the “terrifying” Squirrel Cage Jail through their television sets or other device screens, locals and visitors have a chance to experience the terror first hand this weekend.
On Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, the Squirrel Cage Jail will be giving flashlight tours of the jail. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. What do you think? Will we see you there?
