Ahman Green Returns to Heartland as Coach for Mid-America Gamers Expo

Head Coach of Esports at Lakeland University (Plymouth, WI) and 2x NFL All-Pro and 4x NFL Pro Bowler Ahman Green will return to the Heartland for the inaugural Mid-America Gamers Expo (MAGE), taking place in Council Bluffs, Iowa this November. Coach Green’s Muskies will compete in the Tournament of Champions, playing Valorant and Rocket League for cash and prizes.

Green will also headline a panel discussion on the timely topic of “Esports in College.”

“Gaming has been a lifelong passion for me, and I’m amazed how quickly Esports has been growing and evolving,” Green said. “Esport skills like hard work, dedication, and accountability transfer to ‘the real world.’ Big business has also discovered the popularity of esports and is investing in this $1 billion+ industry.”

ESTV is the first 24-7 live linear video channel dedicated to esports in the U.S. Green has been ESTV’s Director of Business Development since 2019, the year the channel launched. Green is also the host of “Ahman Green’s Gamers Lounge Podcast” on iHeartRadio and broadcast on Twitch.tv every Wednesday at noon.

Powered by the Iowa West Foundation, MAGE ‘21 is the metro area’s first major gaming event, running from Friday, November 19 to Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs.
