On July 12, 2020, The 712 Initiative is hosting the first-ever 712 Day! We all know that events look different in the era of COVID-19 so this year to celebrate, all Council Bluffs residents are invited to participate in a community art project that will be on display at Old Kirn Park.
The first step is to paint (or Sharpie) a 712 Rock. If you don’t know about the 712 Rocks, check out the Facebook Group!
Next, take a photo of your rock and post it onto the 712 Day Facebook event page. In your post, share what you love most about Council Bluffs or one of your favorite memories made in CB! Be sure to tag The 712 Initiative and use the hashtag #712Day.
After you have completed your post, you are invited to drop your rock off in the heart of lights at Old Kirn Park! We want to fill up the entire heart with joyful Council Bluffs memories and stories. Feel free to drop off your rock anytime on July 12th.
Stories make the fabric of our community, The 712 Initiative is excited to collect and share the positive and memorable moments that make Council Bluffs the place we all know and love.
The 712 Initiative is a local organization that helps improve the lives of Council Bluffs residents by redeveloping local areas, activating public spaces, and engaging the community in social events. They make Council Bluffs a better place to live, play, and learn!
